Experience of Matcha tea in Bilbao
We went to Bilbao to participate in the Japan Festival Nihon Jaia.
Bilbao is a Spanish municipality, capital of the province of Biscay, with a population of 354,860 as of 2009. The people of Bilbao feel Japanese culture as something very close to them. During these days of the festival, a lot of people visited the site and enjoyed the variety of the Japanese culture.
When "Cha-no-yu (tea ceremony)" show started, many people gathered around it. After "Cha-no-yu", people could taste Japanese green tea Matcha (a frothy drink) with typical Japanese sweets such as Matcha Sembei (green tea cookies) and Matcha chocolate (green tea chocolate). Many people liked Matcha tea and some people repeated!
We were surprised to know that many people of Bilbao know much about Japan. We met many people who have relations with Japan in some way. For us it was the first time to participate in the festival in Bilbao, but we really had a good time and we could get a lot of new friends there. We thank everyone who visited our stand and we also want to thank you for your interest in our products. We are sure that we will return to Bilbao next year to see you all!
