Matcha Chocolate for Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day is the perfect occasion to make chocolate for your friends, family, and loved ones. Homemade chocolate is a great expression of love and friendship and if you add Matcha powder to your chocolate, the chocolate becomes more original and healthy. Here are two lovely bite-sized Matcha chocolate recipes to get you in the Valentine’s spirit!


1. Matcha Chocolate

Ingredients:
(2 persons) (Makes small 30 chocolates of size 1.5cm x 1.5cm x 1.5cm)
10ml of cream
5g of butter
150g of white chocolate
1 tablespoon of Matcha to mix with chocolate (3g)
1 tablespoon dried red fruit (3g)
1 tablespoon of Matcha for sprinkling (3g)

Preparation:
1. Heat the cream in a small saucepan over medium heat.
2. Crush white chocolate and put it into the cream and melt stirring.
3. Add 3g Matcha and stir with a rubber spatula until smooth.
4. Crush berries and stir with a rubber spatula.
5. Cover the square pan 10cm x 10cm with baking parchment.
6. Pour the mixture into a square mold.
7. Chill in the refrigerator more than 4 hours or overnight.
8. Remove the mixture from the mold.
9. Cut the mixture into square pieces of 1.5 cm x 1.5 cm*
10. Sprinkle Matcha on chocolates.
* Use hot knife to prevent sticking.


2. Matcha Chocolate with red fruit

Ingredients:
(2 persons) (Makes small 30 chocolates of size 1.5cm x 1.5cm x 1.5cm)
10ml cream
5g butter
150g white chocolate
1 tablespoon of Matcha to mix with chocolate (3g)
1 tablespoon dried red fruit (3g)
1 tablespoon dried red fruit for sprinkling (3g)

Preparation:
1. Heat the cream in a small saucepan over medium heat.
2. Crush white chocolate and put it into the cream and melt stirring.
3. Add 3g Matcha and stir with a rubber spatula until smooth.
4. Crush berries and stir with a rubber spatula.
5. Cover the square pan 10cm x 10cm with baking parchment.
6. Pour the mixture into a square mold.
7. Chill in the refrigerator more than 4 hours or overnight.
8. Remove the mixture from the mold.
9. Cut into square pieces of 1.5 cm x 1.5 cm*
10. Serve cut chocolates to the plate and spankle crushed berries.
* Use hot knife to prevent sticking.
