KURI GOHAN WITH TENCHA

Japanese chestnut rice, Kuri Gohan, is a traditional Japanese autumn rice recipe. This aromatic chestnut rice with Organic Teacha and a pinch of salt is perfect!!

Tencha is the raw material for Matcha. Tencha is cultivated in the same way as Gyokuro and its chlorophyll increases in the tea leves by covering the tea plantation and the tea leaves become soft and bright green. The astringency is suppressed and the sweetness and umami become stronger.

After picked, the leaves are steamed to stop oxidation. After that, the leaves are dried without rubbing, and Tencha is completed.

The Matcha House started selling Organic Tencha in September 2020. This product is already used in some Japanese restaurantes and it is becoming popular in Europe now. It can be used not only for rice balls and pasta, but also for sweets such as Dangos and Mochis. Please enjoy the freshest Tencha that we bring directly from our Matcha manufacturer.
