Valentine's Day is the perfect occasion to make chocolate for your friends, family, and loved ones. Homemade chocolate is a great expression of love and friendship. This year, consider making Matcha truffles for Valentine's Day. Making Matcha truffles - or at least this recipe - is SO simple and SO fantastic!

Ingredients:
(Makes 20 small truffles)

(for truffle balls)
50g of cream
15g of butter
150g of white chocolate
1 tablespoon of Matcha

(For coating)
50g of white chocolate
50g of black chocolate
1 tablespoon of Cocoa powder
1 tablespoon of Matcha

Preparation:
1. Heat the cream in a small saucepan over medium heat.
2. Crush white chocolate and put it into the cream and melt stirring.
3. Add butter and stir.
4. Add Matcha and stir with a rubber spatula until smooth.
5. Cover a square mold with baking parchment.
6. Pour the mixture into a square mold.
7. Chill in the refrigerator more than 4 hours or overnight.
8. Remove the mixture from the mold.
9. Cut the mixture* into small square pieces and shape them into small balls.
10. Melt white chocolate and black chocolate separately and coat the balls.
11. Sprinkle cocoa powder or Matcha powder on the truffles (this is up to personal choice, the coatings can be anything you prefer.)
* Use hot knife to prevent sticking.

Comments

  1. In step 4, it says to crush berries and stir. What berries are you referring to, I don't see berries in the ingredient list.
