How to prepare Matcha

 
















Preparing Matcha is intimidating at first but very easy if you follow a few basic and easy steps. The Matcha House prepared below a quick guide in three languages which will help you to make Japanese style Matcha tea quickly. Enjoy your own Matcha tea at home!
















































[EN]How to prepare:
Pour hot water into the bowl Discard the water. Using a bamboo tea scoop, place 2 teascoops of Matcha into the bowl. Add 90ml of hot water. Briskly whisk the tea using a bamboo whisk. Begin slowly to dissolve the matcha, then move very briskly back and forth as fast as you can in the middle of the tea bowl. Whisk in an “M” or “W” pattern. The whisk should be vertical and barely touching the bottom of the bowl. When a soft light foam has developed, slowly lift the whisk from the center of the bowl. Drink right away, before the powdered leaves have time to settle again. Matcha is traditionally served with a small sweet.

Verter un dedo de agua caliente en el bowl. Tirar el agua. Poner 2 cucharditas de Matcha utilizando la cuchara de bambú (chashaku) y añadir 90ml  de agua caliente (90ºC). En seguida batir con el batidor de bambú (chasen) primero moviendo lentamente para disolver el matcha y luego más rápido hasta obtener espuma. Intentar dibujar con el movimiento una "M" o "W". El chasen debe mantenerse vertical, sin apretarlo hacía abajo. Una vez se obtenga abundante espuma, subir la batidora lentamente desde el centro del bowl. El Matcha ya está listo y debe tomarse enseguida. Tradicionalmente, Matcha se sirve acompañado de un dulce.

[JP]抹茶の点て方:
 まず、お茶碗に熱湯を注いで温めます。湯を捨てて、茶杓で山盛り2杯の抹茶を入れます。90℃のお湯90mlを注ぎ、茶せんで混ぜます。最初はゆっくりと、だんだん勢いをつけて英語のMまたはWの文字を書くようにシャカシャカとかき混ぜます。茶せんは茶碗の底に強く押し付けないようにしましょう。きれいに泡が立ったら「の」の字を書くように泡をなじませて、お茶碗の真ん中から茶せんを上に引き上げます。甘いお菓子と一緒に召し上がってください。
