Today we are happy to inform you that our new organic Matcha has born!

Until now, we have provided SELECT MATCHA ECO and TEATIME MATCHA ECO as our main organic Matcha for ceremony use, but finally we are ready to offer our PRACTICE MATCHA in organic, as well! Our new PRACTICE MATCHA ECO will be available on our Online Shop from 25th April, 2020!

The Matcha House has been committed to organic products since 2014, with the intention of providing safe, organic and healthy tea. The following year, in 2015, we joined CCPAE and obtained organic certification. Due to the immaturity of the organic tea growing environment, we have managed organic and non-organic products so far to offer satisfactory quality tea. However, the organic product quality has drastically improved and we are ready to market organic products of the same quality as conventional products, therefore, according to our policy, we will transfer all Matcha and Green Tea products to organic ones in 2020. Several climatic anomalies caused by global warming and the presence of pesticides and chemicals in food are now serious problems worldwide. Our company, sensitive to this reality, has decided to take this action based on the same idea. Our tea plantation in AOI SEICHA is organically grown, neither using genetic modification technology nor any pesticides or chemicals. TheMatcha House will continue to work with them to provide safe, ecological and healthy tea with an emphasis on quality.

PRACTICE MATCHA ECOの原材料であるてん茶の産地は、SELECT MATCHA ECO同様、鹿児島県霧島です。PRACTICE MATCHA ECOに使用される茶の木の樹齢は数年から20年くらいのものが多く、春摘みの一番茶のみを使用し、丁寧に石臼挽きします。抹茶は一番茶を手摘みで摘み取ったもののみが茶道用となります。オーガニック茶の為、化学肥料は不使用です。霧島の名の由来となった霧深い気候はもとより、清らかな水、豊かな土壌、澄んだ空気、厳しい寒暖の差の中で育つ「霧島茶」は香りとコクがひときわ素晴らしく、味わい深い美味しさで安全・安心な品質は全国有数の水準を誇っています。PRACTICE MATCHA ECOは従来のPRACTICE MATCHAに出来るだけ近づけて作られた製品です。品質を落とすことなく有機で作り上げた、生産農家の努力の結晶です。どうぞご賞味ください。
