Nodate at the foot of Montserrat

Hello everybody! Are you enjoying the beginning of summer?

We went to Montserrat to enjoy Nodate (Matcha picnic) with one of our friends.

Montserrat is a mountain with a mysterious irregular shape, which is about 60 km from Barcelona. It is a sacred place for Christianity and it is also famous for being a "power-spot" place.

Our friend knows this area a lot and she took us to the Montserrat viewpoint. The viewpoint is located in a huge wheat field at the foot of Mount Montserrat. It was a unique and beautiful landscape.

Driving 10 minutes, we found an ideal area to do Nodate in the shade of trees. First we enjoyed Japanese sweets and then we enjoyed Matcha tea.

We also enjoyed Tencha with hot water. Tencha is the raw material of Matcha. It was beautiful that the sunlight through the trees was reflecting off the tea, and we watched it for a while.

How long were we chatting?   We chatted many things enjoying various teas until the sun was about to set. We relaxed both physically and mentally and had really great time.
