Still in Japan...

Our journey continues through the most incredible landscapes and delicious meals. Today we want to introduce a variant of kakigoori. Akafuku Goori is a typical product of the most traditional Japan and very, very refreshing. We are in the city of Ise (Mie Prefecture) on the island of Honshu. An area of great natural beauty, very traditional, and a part of the Ise-Shima National Park.

Ise has been offering this cold sweet for more than 300 years. It’s made from crushed ice, matcha green tea and filled with mochi ( Japanese tipical rice cake ) and anko ( sweet paste made from azuki red bean and sugar). Enjoy it!
